India Formula1 Race Circuit named - Buddh International Circuit


The name of venue for first Formula1 Grand Prix in India is "Buddh International Circuit" , announced by "Jaypee Sports International" , located at Greater Noida , near Delhi (about 40 kms only).


Sameer Gaur , Managing Director and Chief Executive of Jaypee Sports International said that the name "Buddh International Circuit" is derived from the word "Buddha" to mean Peace and Calmness. 


Gaur Said that it would be the India's next biggest Sports event after the organization of ICC Cricket World Cup.


The Circuit has been designed by the World renowed Formula1 circuit designer , HERMANN TILKE , and the overall cost for this development is 400 million USD or 10 Billion INR.


This Circuit will be a part of Jaypee Greens Sports City which covered 2,500 acres.
This Greens Sports City also have planned 1,00,000 seat capacity Cricket Stadium , 18 hole Golf Course , 25,000 Seat Capacity Hockey Stadium and a Sports academy.
