The fifth franchise in I1 Super Series motor sports championship in the January of next year at Buddh International Circuit is "Chennai Super Sonics."
The previously announced four franchises are from Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi.
The Owner of the Chennai Super Sonics is 'K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju', Chairman of Ind-Barath Infra, an infrastructure development company.
K raghu Ramakrishna said "The I1 super series has the makings of a great sporting league that will gain popularity and a fan following like no other. Chennai has been the home of motorsports in India for a long time and the Chennai Super Sonics will do their best to make sure we stay on top."
